Sophia Guadalupe Padgett Pérez (any pronouns) is a Venezuelan-American interdisciplinary artist, herbalist, educator, and organizer raised in Miami-Dade County, FL. They recieved their BFA with an emphasis in photography and art therapy from the School of The Art Institute of Chicago. Her work explores the navigation of a queer mixed race identity through the subverting of her Catholic upbringing. By way of performance,  photography, and sculptural practices these themes exist in the cross section of her body and culture as it relates to the land and spirit.
